TREC registration is OPEN.

The Texas A&M Regional Engineering Conference (TREC) is a design competition hosted annually by Texas A&M University to foster communication and friendly competition between universities from Texas and its surrounding states.

Past years’ competitions have included constructing a miniature golf machine as well as modifying a remote control car to collect steel pellets.  Operating under strict time and supply constraints, teams work tirelessly to create the best machine they can to complete each years’ challenge. The winners of TREC are awarded awesome prizes that in the past have included Xboxes, netbooks, portable DVD players, and GPS units.

This year, TREC will be held on February 10th and 11th on Texas A&M University campus in College Station, Texas.  We have established a schedule for TREC 2012 that is available under the Itinerary tab.

Teams consist of 6 participants and registration is $90 per team for Texas A&M students.  Registration is FREE for teams from visiting schools!  Registration includes a t-shirt, two dinners, breakfast, lunch and the chance to win great prizes.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at TREC@sec.tamu.edu with any questions.
