The Texas A&M Regional Engineering Conference (TREC) is a design competition held each year to foster communication and friendly competition between universities from around the area.

Last year, teams were required to design, build and use a device capable of hitting a ball through a miniature golf course.   Teams attempted to finish the golf course using as few strokes as possible.  In addition, each team had to “purchase” their building materials for strokes.  The teams with the fewest combined strokes (building and competing) won some amazing prizes, including netbooks, GPS units and noise cancelling headphones.

We are excited for another great year of TREC.  This year, TREC will be held on January 29th and 30th at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.  Please check the itinerary for more information.

Registration costs 15 dollars per person, which includes a t-shirt, two dinners, breakfast, lunch and the chance to win great prizes.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at trec@sec.tamu.edu with any questions.
